Due to weather threats, we had 2 openers this year to give as many people a chance to ride as possible.  It seems that between the late spring, the pandemic and the craziness, there are still a lot of people who are looking for a good long group ride.  Having ridden the Chain of Lakes 125 last weekend, I can't wait to run it again.

Huge shout out here to Will Sheung and Dave Barrie!  I only wish I could have been there to ride with you.  So cool to see people try something out and keeping up the pace on a commuter bike takes some real strength.  I hope to meet both of them in the future!

Our club has always been open to everyone.  We aren't just about brevets and Paris Brest Paris.  There are lots of challenges and fun times to be had on your bicycle.  If you aren't interested in formal randonneuring, I hope to hold more of these kinds of rides.  As members all of our 200k rides are open to you to ride as Imperials and mark your calendars for the next Ultra Event, Nature's Metropolis 140 out of Willow Springs in late July.

And welcome back Jim Kreps, after a 7 year hiatus, it's good to have you riding with us again.

Well done everyone!  Despite the challenges we are all off to a great start!
